We are committed to conducting our business ethically and responsibly, and to taking reasonable steps to identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.

Our commitment

We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, forced marriage or other forms of serious exploitation within our own business or knowingly within our supply chain.

Understanding the Risk

What we mean by modern slavery

Modern slavery refers to serious exploitation where coercion, threats or deception are used to deprive people of their freedom.

Forced labour Human trafficking Servitude Debt bondage Forced marriage Worst forms of child labour
Our Supply Chains

Where our risks may arise

Although our direct operations are based in Australia, many of the products sold by our business form part of international manufacturing and distribution supply chains.

Our suppliers may include providers of:

  • finished machinery and outdoor power equipment;
  • spare parts and accessories;
  • batteries, electronics and manufactured components;
  • packaging, freight and logistics services;
  • professional and technical services;
  • facilities, utilities, waste, communications and other indirect services.
We recognise that modern slavery risks can exist several tiers removed from the businesses we deal with directly, particularly in raw-material extraction, component manufacture, electronics, textiles, transport and other global supply chains.
Supplier Due Diligence

How we assess suppliers

Our approach is proportionate to the size and risk of the supplier relationship. Major, critical or higher-risk suppliers may be subject to additional review before or during our relationship with them.

consideration of the supplier's reputation, ownership and operating history;
relevant licences, certifications and regulatory standing where applicable;
financial and commercial stability;
country, industry and supply-chain risk where relevant;
additional enquiries, certifications or audits where circumstances justify them.
Our Workplace

Policies that support ethical conduct

Recruitment

We verify employees' entitlement to work in Australia and aim to conduct recruitment fairly and transparently.

Speaking Up

Employees are encouraged to raise concerns about unlawful, unsafe or unethical conduct without fear of inappropriate retaliation.

Work Health & Safety

We aim to provide a safe and healthy workplace for employees, contractors and others who work at or visit our premises.

Continuous Improvement

What we will continue to do

01 Consider modern-slavery risk when assessing significant new suppliers.
02 Communicate our expectations regarding lawful and ethical employment practices.
03 Seek further information or assurances where a supplier presents an elevated risk.
04 Include appropriate ethical-sourcing expectations in procurement arrangements where practical.
05 Provide awareness or training to employees involved in purchasing and supplier management where appropriate.
06 Review our approach as the business and regulatory environment evolve.

Raising a Concern

If an employee, supplier, customer or other person becomes aware of conduct that may involve forced labour, human trafficking or another form of serious exploitation connected with our business or supply chain, we encourage them to bring it to our attention.

Concerns will be considered seriously and, where appropriate, investigated or referred to the relevant supplier, authority or specialist body.

Statement Status
