Service & Repairs

We are capable of service & repair to all of the equipment we sell, as well as many other brands – so long as they are designed to be serviceable (have parts & technical support).
We do specialise in the brands of equipment that we sell, and we will prioritise the repairs of customers who bought their equipment from us.
We currently run two workshop facilities catering for repairs & service work presented at any of our three stores.

Can you pick up / deliver the equipment?

We offer a pickup & delivery service for those customers who require it – however only for ride-on mowers (or bulk batches of equipment), within 50km of our stores.
The cost of this service will depend on your distance from your closest branch.
We will quote you when booking in your service.

Do you offer onsite service?

No (with the exception of pump & irrigation systems out of our Macksville store).
The cost of having a qualified mechanic driving from place to place is simply too prohibitive, and would make most of our service work not worthwhile. Service & Repairs can also be performed faster in a fully equipped workshop, rather than onsite. If you are adamant about having your equipment serviced onsite, we are happy to refer you to a third party.

What is your turn-around time?

We run a Prioritised Service Queue System.
How long your repair takes will depend on multiple factors, including whether you are a commercial or private user, and whether the parts required for your machine are readily available.
Each of our workshops runs it’s own priority system – see below.

How much do you charge?

When booking in your equipment for repair, we will set an agreed *maximum* repair budget with you based on your description of the problem, and our experience with the make & model of your equipment. If your machine can be repaired for less than this agreed budget, we will repair it and notify you when it is ready. If a major problem is found that is not able to be resolved under the agreed budget, we will contact you and either set a revised budget, or cancel the job – at your discretion.
We find that this approach allows us to offer you a no 'price surprise' service in the fastest time possible, since we are not calling you / leaving messages / waiting on replies etc regarding the pricing of a repair or service.

Newcastle Workshop

Our Newcastle branch has a dedicated “dry” workshop, servicing outdoor power equipment for our both our Newcastle & Hunter Valley branches.
We do twice-weekly service transfers between our Hunter Valley locations – free of charge – so if Rutherford is closer for you, feel free to drop off and collect your equipment from there.

  1. Commercial Power Equipment – this equipment costs the owner money every day it is not running
  2. Warranty Repairs – we make an effort to repair equipment with warranty issues as quickly as possible, without jeopardising commercial operators' livelihoods
  3. Home Owner Power Equipment – homeowner/private use mowers, brushcutters, chainsaws etc. While we appreciate timely repairs are important, the worst-case scenario with delays in repair to this equipment is an untidy garden.

Nambucca Valley Workshop

Our Nambucca Valley store has its own dedicated “wet & dry” workshop, servicing everything from mowers, chainsaws & brushcutters to pumps & pool equipment.
We also offer onsite servicing & repairs to pools, pumps & irrigation equipment at this location.

Here is how we prioritise our service work in this workshop:
  1. Aquaponics & Fish Ponds – fish can die in a matter of hours without functioning pumps & filtration.
  2. Commercial Crop Irrigation Systems – crops cannot be moved closer to water.
  3. Commercial Stock Watering Systems – stock *can* be moved to a new water source, but at great expense.
  4. Household & Drinking Water Systems – while inconvenient, people can source drinking water from shops or neighbours if required.
  5. Commercially Used Power Equipment – this equipment costs the owner money every day it is not running.
  6. Warranty Repairs – we make an effort to repair equipment with warranty issues as quickly as possible, without jeopardising animal life or commercial operators livelihoods.
  7. Swimming Pool & Spa Equipment – while pools & spas are a luxury, they can get very expensive to correct chemically if pumps & filters are out of action for too long.
  8. Home Owner Power Equipment – homeowner mowers, brushcutters, chainsaws etc. While we appreciate timely repairs are important, the worst-case scenario with delays in repair to this equipment is an untidy garden.
